Notes: Trial - 0 was meant to work out my process with some old supplies. The malt is over 25 years old. It had been stored in a plastic bag which was placed in a 5 gallon bucket with a lid. The bucket was stored in an interior closet in the house.
I mis read the package on the hops and I didn’t realize until after the fact that it was Magnum at 15 AU. I have reworked my hop supply and storage to avoid this in the future.
Tasting
Not surprisingly this beer is very bitter. I can’t perceive any off notes that could be contributed to the malt. Even if there is the bitterness is masking it.
The trial was a success in that I worked out my small batch process which actually yielded beer either no bottle bombs.
