Notes: Mash at 150 degrees for 1 hour. Boil 60 minutes while adding hops. Pitch yeast at 65 degrees. Ferment for 7 days. Dry hop at 65 degrees lower temp by 2 degrees each day for 14 days. Cold condition for 10 days at 34 degrees. |

Notes: After bottle aging for a few weeks, beer takes on a nice, balanced profile. Hops are relatively subtle compared to many current IPAs, and work nicely with the caramel malt. Notes of pine.
Beer is an amber color, very slight haze, with a very nice carbonation level.
Solid, but not the hop aroma I was hoping for. More of a balanced pale - bit too dark in color. Would likely not brew again. |
