Initial mash temperature was 3 degrees C above target. Mash temperature was allowed drop to the lower original target of 63 degrees C before adding heat.
Mash was determined to be complete when brix readings stabilized. Approx one hour.
The base water for this recipe was 70% Reverse Osmosis and 30% Richfield Well Water.

| Notes: Kegged this and liked the way it came out. I used some Ethiopian beans for the coldbrew and added it right before I kegged it. Ethiopian beans are more fruity and tangy than some other types that might give more of that dark and smoky coffee flavor. I liked this choice, as it made it feel a little lighter tasting than if I would have used maybe a Columbian variety. Had Thresher from Burial not too long ago and this wasn't too far off. |
