7.75 collected probably too much sparge...oh well
Using Digiboil/mash 7 quarts before water touches grain
added extra lb of fermentables to mix for extra water
original recipe called for 1.75 oz on the hops but went with 2.5 oz because hops were a little old (in the freezer though)

Notes: Can also use WLP810 San Francisco Lager.
Dough-in with 4.5 gallons water and target a temperature of 150 °F.
Hold the mash at 150 °F for 1 hour.
Add enough near boiling water to raise the temperature to mash out at 168 °F.
Sparge with 170 °F water until volume is around 5.9 gallons.
Chill to 62 °F, rack and pitch. I prefer a 24 hour 2L starter.
Ferment at 62 °F for one week.
Target a carbonation level of 2.5 to 3 volumes. |
