Adapted for ingredients readily available in New Zealand and including Gladfields Gladiator as a CaraPils addition for head improvement.
Originally used 4.5kg Gladfield Pilsner (or organic Pilsner malt) malt as the base malt @1.054 OG. Replaced with 2x 1.7kg cans of Black Rock Ultra Light liquid Malt Extract.
Boiling in a 12 litre stock pot and topping up with water to meet the OG in the fermenter. Should yield approx: 23 litres. |

Notes: I just threw a bunch of shit together and didn't know what to expect. I guess i was going for a hoppy english style ale.
It was like 80-90 degrees in my apartment at times cause it was fermenting in august/september.
Didn't filter it at all. Let it ferment for for 20 days then bottle conditioned for 30.
I give it a solid 2 stars
its got a musty woodsy unpleasant bitterness to it. |

Notes:
