Notes: 1. Mash grains and Vorlauf.
2. Sparge and rest for 10 m in and vorlauf.
3. Start 60 minute boil.
4. Add hop additions according to their schedule
5. Cool wort to 65 degF, aerate for 30 min, gravit y reading, and pitch yeast.
7. Ferment till finished about 2 weeks, add dry-hops according to their schedule and jalapeno for 7 days.
8. Cold crash in for week 4.
9. Transfer to keg and force carbonate. |

Notes: Adding orange zest after 7 days fermentation slowed down and stopped fermentation early. OG 1.060, FG 1.016, alcohol 6.1% (after priming).
Next time a bit less Columbus bitter hopping (12-12-12gr for a 20l batch), and Centennial aroma hops at flame-out to get a smoother balance. |
