Sparge while grain bag is located in a plastic bucket; bucket should have a spigot.
My buddy just got into BIAB brewing and this was his first recipe with ingedients supplied by me.
We used a gas stove for this batch which turned out fantastic.
2 weeks in primary then 3 weeks in bottle. One of the best ambers I've tasted, hands down. |

Notes:
A classic German-style pilsener is straw to pale in color. A malty residual sweetness can be perceived in aroma and flavor. Perception of hop bitterness is medium to high. Noble-type hop aroma and flavor are moderate and quite obvious. Distinctly different from Bohemian-style pilsener, this style is lighter in color and body and has a lower perceived hop bitterness. |

Notes: Great colour following fermentation, very smooth taste. Not overly bitter, middle of the range for the style.
Bottled 45 x 500ml bottles from the batch.
Tasted a bottle 5 days after bottling - lovely bitterness level and very smooth. CO2 starting to develop after 5 days but will need another 1-2 weeks before it's really ready. |
