Notes: Dry Bean 1.25 oz/gal medium roast coffee for 3 days
Soak 1 med toast oak spiral in 5 - 8 oz bourbon for one month. Then add to keg or bottling bucket
After 3 months in the bottle this beer had developed into a nice coffee stout. The coffee is very prominent. But I am not getting much bourbon at all at 5 oz. So either the coffee is overpowering it or the bourbon needs increased closer to 8 oz. |

Notes: the OG in this recipe does not match my target OG. I decided to do to lack of space in my kettle to brew at a higher gravity and then dilute to my target OG of 1.050. I ended up using 2 Gallons to go from 4.5gallons of wort to 6.5galllons.
I pitched the yeast just by sprinkling the packet right onto of the wort. Fermentation took off within 24 hours. |

Tasting Notes: One of the best yet. Only fault is that it still has that weird homebrew twang. Maybe try and keep a fermentation vessel free to rack into straight after the primary. Ie, this beer is just shy of 6%, so rack into secondary on the 7th day. |
