Provar först att göra den hemma.
Vi kommer använda Uncle Ben’s® Snabbris istället för ris.
Bryggdag: Provar att gå ut lite mer i mängd vatten och kör en mash på 5 liter, istället för att tillsätta under sparge. Använder Citra istället för Crystal, eftersom jag inte hade så mycket hemma.
Redan efter 45 minuter verkade all stärkelse blivit till socker enligt jod-testet. Men jag lät ändå mashe:en stå till sig 15 min till.
Under koktiden lade jag till en liter vatten för att det började se lite lite ut. Dessutom tillsatte jag irish moss under de sista 10 min.
Jag väljer åter igen att kyla över natten istället för med isbad eller spiral. Men jag tog ett smakprov och kylde och mätte OG på. OG hamnade på 1.052 vilket känns helt rimligt. Däremot var smaken mycket mer bitter än vad jag hade tänkt mig. Det blir nog till att hålla igen på citran nästa gång. |

Single-infusion mash at 148° F for 45 minutes, then slowly ramp to 165° F for 15 minutes.
Conduct a 60 minute boil and a 15 minute post-boil whirlpool.
Pitch yeast at 64° F then set temperature control to 67° F for 10 days. Diacetyl rest at 70° F for 2 days before crashing. Carbonated to 4.0 volumes CO2. Typically this style is bottle conditioned. Because it was carbonated and kegged with CO2, we added wheat to mimic the turbidity normally caused when the bottle is roused before serving. |

going with about 45 ibu since that is about what i have done for other pale ales. but doing 2 oz dry hop. i usually do 1.5oz for pale ale so maybe i should do 3? update : yes to 3.
using basic witbier grain ration but boosted up to top 6%. stoopid wit is 6.3%.
