| Notes: This recipe is for mash and boil brew system. Add 4.5 gal water and set temp to 162 degrees. Once heated, add grain and set temperature to 150 degrees. Mash for 1 hour. 20 minutes before mash out, heat sparge water to 168 degrees. Lift grain from kettle and add sparge water to get 6.25 gallons in Brewer's edge kettle. Turn temperature to 218 degrees and remove grain. Boil hops according to hop boil guidelines. |

---------------------------------------------Tasting notes: This beer was awesome - real round taste to expect from the Conan yeast. I also was really into how the simcoe took the stage for the taste.
Served this beer up at thanksgiving at my house and someone left the tap open on accident and lost gallons, super pissed off because it was so good and I only got to have 3 of them. So sad I will have to brew it again. |

| Notes: This beer was brewed with the late runnings from the Maple Imperial Stout II. 1.8 gallons of late runnings with a SG of 1.020. Additions of 8 oz of D-180 Belgian Candi sugar nad 12 oz of dark DME were added to bring the OG to 1.062 at the end of the 100 minute boil. 1/2 package of Safale Abbaye was pitched into 1 gallon of wort. It was fermented at 70 degrees. |
