Notes: SOBRE EL ESTILO:
Aroma: Baja a mediana maltosidad, a menudo con sabores a migas de pan tostadas, bizcochos de vainilla y galletas inglesas.
Caramelo de bajo a medio y un bajo butterscotch es admisible. Suave carácter a frutas de carozo en los mejores ejemplos.
Puede tener bajo aroma a lúpulo (terroso, floral, cítrico a naranja, especiado, etc.).
Apariencia: Color cobre pálido a marrón muy oscuro. Clara Espuma cremosa de baja a moderada color blanquecino
Sabor: Enteramente centrado en la malta, con sabores que van desde maltas, a pan, con matices a caramelo y a malta ricamente tostada (pero nunca quemada) o una combinación de éstos. Ésteres frutales no son requeridos pero añaden profundidad cuando todavía no son altos. Amargor de lúpulo para balancear la malta. Sabor a lúpulo de bajo a ninguno está permitido y debería ser de carácter tradicional inglés (terroso, floral, cítrico a naranja, especiado, etc.). El final varía desde rico y maltoso, a seco y a grano. Un sutil carácter a butterscotch es aceptable, sin embargo el azúcar quemada no lo es. El balance malta-lúpulo se inclina hacia la malta.
Sensación en Boca: Cuerpo medio-bajo a medio. Carbonatación baja a moderada. Puede ser relativamente rica y cremosa, a seca y granosa. |
