Notes: Using 2 packets of Safale 05 Pitched dry or hydrated.
Attempting to mash with 1.7 q/lb or grain. Will decrease 2 row malt to allow space in mash tun for this volume. Need to balance with dry malt.
Using Water calculations from brewers friend.
Mash at 1.71q/lb @ 13.13/lb = ~ 5.5 gal mash
Sparge to hit 6.5 gal boil. = .48 gal boil off in 90 min. Heat at least 2.5/3 gallon of water for the sparge.
Dead space under screen and hop trub and break should account for 1/2 gallon to get 5.5 gallon in fermentor.
