Notes: The original recipe does not call for the sugar or the mosaic hops and Belgian yeast these are the changes I made to the recipe.
I used a Normal cooler homemade mash tun for steeping. Also use a paint strainer bag from mash tun to boiling pot then from boiling pot to fermenter to clear out other heavy left overs. The original recipe yeast was English Ale but I had Belgian on hand. |

came up short on efficiency and OG. could have been the pH miscalculation I hope that is the case and that the pH doesn't cause a taste able issue

| Notes: Add the hops and Irish moss as per the schedule. Add the Sumatran coffee and two chocolate varieties at the end of the boil. Cool the wort to 75 ºF (24 ºC). Pitch the yeast and aerate the wort heavily. Allow the beer to cool to 68 ºF (20 ºC). Hold at that temperature until fermentation is complete. Transfer to a carboy, avoiding any splashing. Add the Kona coffee and condition for one week, then bottle or keg. Carbonate and age for two weeks. |
