Cold CRASH and then Keg on April 1, 2025 (the day before Liberation Day).
Yes, the market will CRASH due to misreading the tariff strategy.
Be patient; by the time this ale is mature, the market will have rebounded and will be on its way to new heights!
MAKE AMERICA STRONG ALE is a reflection of Trump's strong policies and his desire to Make America Great Again.
Oh, and it is DELICIOUS as well!

Maybe getting to be a bit much on the hops. The Nelson Bros recipe is probably on the mark. |

Notes: NOTE: 3.3 Rye LME is a LATE ADDITION but marking it as such here throws all the numbers off.
ALSO: BB's previous version of this recipe included a "steep-to-convert" process utilizing 2-row and flaked rye, but have since changed it to a simple late addition Rye LME as shown here.
From the Brewer's Best Recipe Sheet:
IBUs: 40 - 45
ABV: 4.2% - 4.7%
OG: 1.045 - 1.050
FG: 1.013 - 1.017
Color: Pale Amber
A pale ale that uses just the right amount of Rye, Munich and Honey malt to create a unique spiciness. Then we use different hop varieties to perfectly balance the beer - and it’s dry-hopped! |

Notes: Made starter of WLP001 from pale ale brewed 2 months ago. Was in mason jar in sterile water in fridge. Starter only got going for ~16 hours.
Strike water was on the high end, shitty thermometer lead me to think I was mashing at 156-158F--not good.
OG was 1.060 at 80F
Pitched yeast at ~78F
First batch using temp controlled chest freezer. Set at 68F when it was supposed to be at 65F, started bubbling at 68F in ~4 hours, lowered to 65 12 hours after pitch...chugged along slowly for 1 day bubbling, lots of krausen but airlock activity stopped. Raised back up to 68F 48 hours after pitch to try and regain activity. SG 1.036 at this time.
Dry hopped with 1 oz of Falconer's Flight from Day 7 to Day 12.
Day 12, gravity down to 1.010 surprisingly.
Dry Hopped from day 12 to Day 14. Day 14 needed stainless steel boil kettle plug that I used to help weigh down the hop bag for the Crystal Wheat brew. Only dry hopped the 2oz FF for 2 days.

Notes: After 8 days of primary fermentation did a diacetyl rest for 2 days at 65 degrees. Rack to secondary on top of thawed frozen blueberries and left for 10 days. Removed blueberries and slowly dropped to lagering temps. Lagered at 38 degrees for 4 weeks.
The .5oz of extract at bottling really makes the blueberry aroma come out in the beer. A clean lager with nice smooth not too sweet blueberry flavor. Hops are pretty interchangeable as the blueberry gives most of the flavor and aroma. |

Notes: Using Wells Bombardier mash schedule and yeast.
Hop schedule is Fullers.
Efficiency all whacked out on Brewersfriend..and yeast did not attenuate as much as I hoped. ABV worked out perfectly for schedule...right between Fullers ESB cask and bottle...5.7-5.8%.
I did the aroma/whirlpool hops in a hop sock and squeezed it. Out of the fermenter it looked and smelled amazing. No gelatin necessary...super duper clear. |
