Added a half ounce dry hop after fermentation because I have read many people who have toured brewery and Anchor says they dry hop with Northern Brewer.

Notes: 9/27:
1. Steeped grains in 1.5 gal of water, approx 160F for 20 minutes.Removed grains, added wort to brew pot.
2. Added 4 gal water, DME, honey, Cascade, brought to boil; boiled 45 minutes.
3. Added Irish moss, cinnamon, orange peel, ginger, cloves, nutmeg. boiled 10 minutes.
4. Added Saaz hops. Boiled 5 minutes.
5. Removed from heat, allowed to cool.

Partial-extract that went very well for our brewing session.
Came out darker than expected. When transfered to Secondary.
Dying green worked out well, anyone who has this beer will be surprised by the green color! 2 drops per bottle at bottling time. |

| Notes: This started as an attempt to clone North Coast Brewers' Old Rasputin but I added a little twist... 3 lbs of Africanized "Killer" Bee Honey (hence the name). It turned out excellent and even garnered an honorable mention in a local homebrew contest. It's a very dark and very malty much like Old Rasputin but the Killer Bee honey (which by itself tastes a lot like caramel) added a smoothness I have never tasted in a beer before. |

Notes: For 10 gallons: 4 lbs clover honey and 20 saffron threads added to end of the boil. 2 qt of white muscat grape juice added after active fermantation (3 or 4 days). Let ferment another 5 to 7 days and then rack to secondary. Let condition for 12 to 14 days.
