| Notes: This is a North American Wheat beer with a crisp flavor. This beer often has a slight "haze". It's light colour, and drinkability, make it the perfect summer beer. Notes: Brewed on 12/10/11
Steep grains for 15 minutes at 160 F. Add to boiling water and sparge. Return to boil and add DME, add 1 oz Northern Brewer hops and 0.5 oz Cascade hops. Boil for 30 minutes. Add 6.6 lbs LME, add 0.5 oz Cascade, add Irish Moss and boil for 10 minutes. Remove from heat and chill in the snow outside.

Notes: Expected Og was 1.073
1.067 with extracts and add 22 oz steeping grains at 26/lb/gal at 3 gal is .8 pnds extract. Gave OG at 1.074. This is listed as 3rd extract but was actually the steeping grains,
FG was 1.022.
Malty flavor, with low bitterness and slight alcohol taste. Would like less malty flavor and more sweetness to it. 6/6/17 keg day. |
