Notes: Only 56% Brewhouse efficiency, think because only 2.7L water/Kg grain or 1.2 qts/lb grain. (Maybe should be 2.8qts/lb). 6 lbs of wort lost to absorption.
7 gallons in fermenter-- took out 1.5 gallons and dry-chilied it with .5 oz chipotle and .5 oz California after toasting.

This recipe reflects my actual brew. I did not take into account the late addition of lactose, which made my pre-boil gravity seem low. I tried to remedy a problem that didn't exist - boiled off too much, and ended up with higher abv and a lower amount in fermenter. |
