Notes: 9 pakker Lallemand Diamond Lager rehydreres i 1L vann. Rehydrer i temperert vann på ca 22c. Dryss gjær i vann, la hvile i 15 min, rør lett rundt, la så hvile i 30-40 min (husk å dekke over skål med gladpack/sølvpapir) - sett.
Gjær kan pitches på 13c - Tilfør Brewers Clarex - sammen med gjær - for å få klar og fint pils.
Gjær ølen på 10c i 18 dager, deretter 15c i 3 dager.
Kjør ned til CC, la stå på 2c i 24-48 timer.

Notes:
Strike with 9 gallons at 166 to hit 153. Verify Mash PH is 5.2. Adjust if necessary with lactic acid. Sparge with 11 gallons at 165-170
Pitch yeast at 50. Add 1vl for 2min of pure 02 prior to pitching. Ferment at 58. Raise to 65 degrees after a few days to clear diactyle.

"Re-hydrated 71B-1122 yeast with Go-ferm, pitched into must (with 8oz lime juice) after being properly mixed and oxygenated. Notes: All my friends and family loved this one. Definately one to try.The IBU seem high, but magnum is very smooth and balances perfectly. Bottle condition for at least a month. My FG came out to 1.019.
Oats, milk sugar, and a hint of coffee makes one good breakfast of champions.
Age this for a few months and it gets even better.
Made it again.. Same recipe, same awesome beer. Going to submit to a local homebrew contest..
Update; This baby got me the first place trophy! 1st out of 14 entries in a local homebrew contest. Stuff is fantastic |
