Notes: Post Brew Notes: Souring was a guess --used 2 oz of Latic Acid for 6.25 gallons. Could have been a little more and should have had a PH meter or solution to verify.
End product came out slight sour and still very good.
Maintained about 100 degree F for 36 hours using wrapped heating pad with towels for insulation and added halogen light under kettle with a timer/temperature controller.

Notes: This is an English IPA using "new" British hops that have a fruity character usually associated with American or Australian/ New Zealand hops. These hops are a little harder to find but are priced at a similar price point to the usual fruity hops. I’ve used Endeavour as a high AA hop for bittering just to keep the hops British. Grain bill is simple, it’s all about showing off the hops with this one. |
