Notes: # Middle Mild
A traditional English dark mild. Easy going but plenty of taste!
## Malt
An English base malt is used with 10% dark crystal, 9% dextrin, 2% Amber and 3% black malt. The dextrin malt will add some body and the black malt was added for extra colour and light roasty flavours. Mash temperature all the way up to 70C to leave some malt sweetness to the finished beer.
## Hops
Challenger for a smooth bitterness and Goldings used for a traditional English hop flavour.
## Yeast
Wyeast 1099 Whitbread stain used to leave some body on this small beer. Fermented at 21C without any pressure. This strain is fairly will ferment quickly and will produce some esters.
## Other notes
Can be bottled or transferred to keg but don't overdo the carbonation as lower alcohol beers tend to suffer more. Also, the acidity with take away the sweetness from the malt

Notes: Originally recipe creation was inspired by Coopers XPA.
Hops used in that beer are Lemondrop and Simcoe.
Previous version of this used 1kg Chit malt, but as I don't have that at the moment I have just increased the base malt by 1kg.
For the next version of this I might try the Coopers Yeast (From Coopers Pale Ale Bottles) that I have banked and have successfully used to Make Australian Sparking Ales. |

Notes: The gravity on this site is always way off. Last batch I brewed, estimated a OG of 1.044 and I got 1.071. The body on that batch was way too thick. Going to try and keep it simple this time. Hope to get an OG of 1.065.
Got an OG of 1.061, this table chart is way off. Hoping for 1.015 for the FG around 5.5 ABV...
So the final gravity fell to 1.010, so the ABV = 6.5%
This might be incredibly juicy and hoppy with a lot of aroma. We shall see.
