| Notes: Meskes som vanlig. Gjør et lite oppkok på 10 min så kjøle ned til 35-38 grader tilsett en 2l lacto starter til den har kommet ned til en ph til 3.8. Kok den som vanlig med humle etter tiden. Sett den så til gjæring i 23 grader. 5l starter med wlp644. Tilsett tørrhumling etter 4 dager ut i gjæringen. La den være i etter tiden som er satt. |

| Notes: Recipe calls for 16lbs of 2row and the use of Briess Special Roast but I accidentally shorted the recipe by 4lbs of 2row. Thus, the OG was about 1.033 - 1.034 initially. The final gravity was about 1.003. Final ABV is about 4%. The carabrown gives off a nuttier flavor than the last recipe that used the Special Roast. Tasted clean and well balanced. Racked on 10/26/16. |

| Notes: *Candi syrup added with 15 minutes left in boil. Use the dark amber recipe in this thread: http://www.homebrewtalk.com/showthread.php?t=114837, but only make a half batch (use one pound of sugar). Add the entire batch to the boil. This stuff is super easy to make and imperative to the recipe. The syrup it makes has a smooth decadent caramel flavor that is deeply rich and complex. The flavor and aroma make it through to the final beer and blend with the malt and hops to make a spectacular beer. |
