| Notes: Supposedly an original coopers recipe. The ratio is 125:11:15 of ale malt, wheat malt and roast barley, IBU's are 44 according to coopers. Yeast is coopers recultured from a bottle of coopers bottle fermented sparkling ale. Any bittering hop will do but traditionally super pride. No late hopping. |

Toast nuts in the oven at 350 for 10-15 min on a single layer baking sheet. Stir them and go for another 10-15 minutes until they smell nice and toasted.
Blend them but not too much, add to muslim bag after the beer has feremented (day 7)
Use 10-15.5 oz per 5 gallon so probably 1 lb would be fine.
Leave in for 1-2 weeks

Notes: The malt overpowered the hops to make a very malty, excessively bitter beer. It needs a very light malt bill, this was entirely not that. Also get rid of the knockout hops and move them to dry hopping.
Dial down bittering hops, the bittering logic on this one might actually not be too far off.

Notes: Mixed up 2oz each of Simcoe, Amarillo, Chinook and blended. Weighted Avg AA = 12%.
For the HopDip, drained 2 quarts wort into a small covered glass pitcher after 15 minutes of the boil and added hops in a muslin bag. Poured the fluid and muslin bag into the wort along with the WP hops for a 10 minute hop stand around 160* before finishing the chilling process. Last time, the hop dip was done in the fermenter with no bag-- just loose hops-- and I had to dump the yeast after fermentation.
