Your recipe will produce an excellent American Amber Ale, with a great amber color, a solid OG, and a medium body.

Stick to 7–8 PSI at 37°F: This will result in ~2.0 volumes. This is the "sweet spot" for English Ales. It provides a light effervescence that doesn't scrub the malt flavors off your tongue.
The "Softness" Secret: English pub ales (like those made with WLP002) are traditionally served with very low carbonation. If you want it even smoother, you can even drop it to 5-6 PSI, which will give it that "cask-conditioned" feel. |
