Notes: The original recipe by Andrew and Meatball makes a Mexican Lager having the color of a Dos Equis. I changed it to make an Amber version, like Dos Equis Ambar. Thus, I’ve added the Munich Dark and Crystal 60, both of which will give a somewhat richer flavor. Also, I’ve tried to keep the IBUs close to 30. Lastly, the original recipe called for 2 lbs of Flaked Corn, which will result in an ABV over 6%. I cut this down to 1 lb to keep the ABV around 5%. One last note is that I made this recipe as a Chez Amber Lager because I couldn’t find a Mexican Lager style in Brewers Friend. |

Notes: It is widely known that whilst William Brandt was in exile in Norway, he developed a sub space bridge through time to the era of the Hanseatic league with the aim of establishing the SDP 400 years earlier to defeat Hitler in the present. The exact method of producing this bridge is not known, but it is believed to have involved the inversion of the specific gravity of beer (possibly a Märzen) using the unusual properties of a traditional farmhouse yeast strain in Norway. This inversion could fold space-time. Maybe our beer will too? |
