Notes: Fermented very quickly at 65℉, move to secondary after 6 days. At
day 7 started the cold crash, added gelatin mixture 1/2tsp w/ 1 cup of pre-boiled water cooled to 150℉ for mixing in gelatin, then slowly stirred into beer (5 gal).
Dropped temperature to 35-38℉.
Gelatin and cold crash really helped pull more solids from the beer, and the clarity improved greatly. Continued to lager...but will age more.
Day 14, kegged.
Beer looked very clear at kegging date, and the following day took samples for tasting. Actually, a couple of samples for tasting...LOL. Not fully carbed up, but oh so good. |

Think of everything you know about lagers. Then forget it all instantly. 77 will redefine the experience forever. A Lager that actually tastes of something? You have to be kidding, right? 77 lager is made with 100% malt and whole leaf hops. It contains no preservatives, additives, cheap substitutes or any other junk. Maybe we are crazy. So what? Taste 77 Lager and we are pretty sure you will agree that the fine line between genius and insanity has just become a little more blurred. Watch out for collecting too much wort. Collecting too much liquid from run off (under 1008) may impart massive and undesired 'grainy' flavours into the beer

| Notes: Hacer el mash a 146f por una hora. Al tirar los hops de 5 minutos hacer un whirlpool por 15 minutos despues de apagar la estufa. Enfriar el wort hasta 140f y echar la enzima, dejarlo a esa temperatura por 15-20 minutos, luego enfriar hasta 70f y hacer el pitch de la levadura. Al septimo día de fermentación echar los hops de dry hop y dejarlo por tres días adicionales para un total de 10 días de fermentación. |
