Threw in some MO as I did not have enough 2 Row on hand
This supposed to be close to a beer made by Madtree called Rounding Third made for a customer who won an auction to brew a beer on our pilot system and this is what he wanted. I could not find the recipe that supposedly they had posted. From notes on the website, I had the malts, hotside hops, and cold side hops but no other details. So this recipe is just a guesstimate. Never had the beer so I will go off the customer's opinion to see if it turns out close.

This beer was brewed on our 1BBL pilot unit at New Magnolia Brewing, Houston, TX. It was brewed for a customer who won a charity action to brew a beer. The beer is supposed to be a clone of Rounding Third from Madtree Brewing in Cincinnati which I have never had and only had pretty much the ingredients to go by, no recipe. It turned to be a very interesting beer. Very Malt forward, with the crystal, cara red, and melanoidin malts coming thru. Hints of caramel, a nuttiness, and I think I got a bit of licorice. Although a bit subdued compared to the malts, I got some pine, citrus and a noticeable bitterness in the background. Medium malty finish with a light lingering bitterness. It leans malty but the balance is not out of whack. I think it turned out quite nice. Looking forward to the customer's opinion if its close to the original. I'd give this one a 4 out of 5.
