Notes: Ferment the four containers (96oz each) of Great Value 100% Apple Juice in glass carboy with 1/2lb of brown sugar and US-05 Ale yeast. After fermentation is complete, transfer to secondary and add mulling spices. After a few weeks, transfer to keg and add 64oz of 100% Cranberry Juice (Great Value) and 1 can of frozen apple juice concentrate to back sweeten. |

So mash 3#'s of 2 row at 152 for 30 min.

Mash 2-230. meat thermometer was slow to respond. mash temp stayed too high. got it to 148 fairly quickly.

removed 1 gallon of wort first runnings after 1 hour of mashing and brought to a boil in a separate pot. let boil for 3 hours, about 25-35% remained. syrupy, tasted great, somewhat caramelized. added to boil kettle at flame out. |
