Notes

I think the Mash Thermometer is erratic, mash getting too high and creating unfermentable sugars hopefully not as bad on this brew.

OG 1.083

DH 27-Mar

Force diacetyl test carried out

Coffee addition 125gms Crave cold pressed.

Cold crashed 3-Apr

Gelatin 4-Apr

Bottled 6-Apr

Judges Notes:
Jet black, tight med tan head settles quicky. Good carbonation level. Choc, low dark roast, dark toast and bisucit malt, low fruity esters, nice nuttiness. Palate is weighty and maybe even a touch more lactose could increase silkiness. It's harder to define specific characters on the palate- there's a lot of flavour though! Low and nicely balanced bitterness, low alcohol heat is quite impressive for the ABV, flavours linger well into the finish.
