Came out fantastic! Will make this one every year!

I took a growler to my local HBS. This one was a huge hit with the owner, employees, and all of the others that tried it on Friday night.The manager is also a BJCP judge and teaches BJCP judge classes. He said he would give it a 35 on their scale of 1-50. He then qualified it by telling me that a score of 35-40 is about the top for homebrew. No one gets a 50. I was quite happy! I'll start next years batch in a few weeks!

Did you pitch two packets of US-05 initially or did you use another packet a few days before bottling? Have you tried any High Gravity yeast strains?I'm anxious to give this one a try, it sounds great.
