Notes

Brewed 12/09/20. Mash in w/15 L Boulder water with 1 g CaCl2, 2 g gypsum, 1 ml lactic acid; 153 F, 60 minutes. Add 2 L of 153 F water, drain; fill picnic tun to top with Boulder water (1 g CaCl2, 2 g gypsum, 1.5 ml lactic acid) at 190 F (mash temp increased to 170 F), drain, collect 26 L run off. Cool to 62 F, pitch slurry from 1 L starter, ferment at 66 F.

Tasting notes: very good golden bitter recipe. Smooth, mellow maltiness from Golden Promise really comes through, and the yeast lends some subtle rose aromas. Cleared well. The hops used came out a bit on the harsh side; next time, try different varieties. Make again.
