Notes: First attempt at a triple IPA so who knows how it will go.
Will be pitched on top of a huge yeast cake from a previous brew.
The yeast choice is a bit weird, but it is a monster of a yeast, so if I have a huge cake of it and keep it nice and cold I think it will do well.
Inspired by https://www.experimentalbrew.com/recipes/old-school-triple-ipa but adjusted because I don't have any extract
Third dry hop is in the keg

BREWING NOTES: Gained .04 gravity points by recirculating mash/sparge. Also used more mash water than traditional to test a sparging theory. Results were better, but nominal.
TASTING NOTES: As expected! Results have been consistent over 4 batches. Numbers, taste, appearance, flavors all on point. Slight tartness with strong wheat backbone. Love this beer! |
