| Notes: Mannenliefde is het eerste bier wat Oedipus Brewing heeft uitgebracht. Het is een saison, een stijl met de oorsprong in het zuiden van België. Saisons worden vaak gekenmerkt door een hoge vergistingsgraad wat een droog bier oplevert. De saison gisten die hiervoor geschikt zijn geven naast fruitige ook vaak kruidige smaken als typische peperigheid aan het bier. Het gebruik van verschillende granen naast gerst en kruiden in het brouwproces is ook vrij gebruikelijk. Het recept Mannenliefde is een moderne interpretatie van deze traditionele bierstijl. We gebruiken wat uitgesproken Amerikaanse hoppen en citroengras en Szechuanpeper om de frisse kruidigheid te versterken. |
