Notes: Kind of an experimental beer, never brewed a beer utilizing Saaz like this. We have a ton of Saaz Zuper just sitting in a bag, some spare 2 row/maris/wheat/cryst 60 so we decided to try it. Going to do a direct pitch of US-05 from another beer that has just hit FG, pre-dry hop.
We use RO water. The mineral additions are targeting somewhat of a West Coast IPA profile. |

Notes: Changed recipe to add a little sugar to see if this can help dry the saison out a but more.
I'm also going to go for a LARGE yeast pitch - Looking at a double pitch i.e. Lager size pitch.
I will also focus more on ramping up to 27/28cc. Changing .5c per day from day 4-5.
HOPS - Saw an article which used Lemondrop hops. I thought this would add a nice element to the saison spice. |
