6 gallons of RO water for the mash and 5.5 gallons of filtered tap water with 2 tsp's of gypsum, 0.5 tsp of epsom salt and 0.5 tsp's of calcium chloride after 30 minutes in the mash, and 1/4 tab of cabden tab. I didn't have my ph meter this time. I highly doubt that the IBU calculator is correct; I bet the IBU's are more like 90-95. However, I did mash hop with 2 ounces of Amarillo hops. Racked right into the plastic carboy after kegging the IPA off the same dregs. 12/1/2015 |

Notes
12/1/2015: at 1.060 roughly right around 68% efficiency. BTW, I did add 2 tsp's of food grade lactic acid to the filtered tap water for sparge.
