Pretty much matched BJCP English Mild. This beer is absolutely delicious. Soft, rounded flavour, beautiful aroma, lovely mouthfeel, very sessionable and also appealing to the ladies, the ones that generally don't like beer.
Very English flavour profile. Nice upfront malt, hints of roasty, chocolate and coffee and a die-for soft velvety mouthfeel. The aroma is awsome. Heaven in glass of low alcohol traditional style English Mild. Would not change a single thing for the next brew

By the way, the Gladfield flaked barley can be any flaked barley as long as it's pre-gelanatised, The American Midnight wheat was a Gladfield equivalent and Lyles Golden syrup was actually Australian CSR golden syrup. These things don't really matter, just find the nearest equivalent in your home country. As always, pay attention to detail, keep tight control and make great beer.

Syrup in the boil or fermenter addition?
