Notes
Add steeping grains to grain steeping bag and steep the grains in 3.5 gallons of water at 155 degrees for 45 minutes.
remove the grain steep bag with the grains, and discard the grains.
add the extract both liquid and dry extract to the water, stir well and bring to a boil.
once the wort is boiling start a 60 minute timer, after 30 minutes have passed add .5 ounces of Columbus.
Once the total 60 minutes of boiling has passed turn off the heat, cool the wort down to 180 degrees and add the "whirlpool hops" as noted above stir and let the hops sit in the wort for 20 minutes.
Cool the wort down to 70 degrees, transfer the wort to the fermenter, filtering as much of the hop residue from the boil kettle. pitch your yeast and let ferment for 10 days, open up the fermenter, and add the dry hop as noted above. Wait another 3 to 4 days and start bottling.
