Notes

This recipe is a modification from Evan Altman's "Hair of the Goat Rauchbier"

From Evan's original description:

"Smoky and rich, with a blend of noble hops for balance and flavor, this is going to be a great beer to share while commiserating the season gone by and look forward to next Spring."

My own immediate modifications from the original recipe

switched to 6lb LME Munich (instead of using 5lb Munich DME and 1lb Light DME)
swapped hops 'domestic hallertau' with 'Hallertauer Mittelfruh'
shop was out of Carapils - so used half the weight of a Caramel 40 as a replacement (if I recall weight correctly)
toned down the hops a bit - basically reduced by 25% for the hops added during boil - kept dry hop amt original
