Notes

This recipe is an amalgamation of the American Amber and West Coast Blaster recipes from the Brewing Classic Styles text. I was interested in creating a more malt-forward Amber, and so I utilized the grain bill from the West Coast Blaster recipe and the hop schedule from the Amber Ale recipe. The result was a smooth ale with a hint of chocolate that became more present as the beer warmed up.

The beer tasted good served at 42 degrees, but I found myself preferring the flavor profile as the temperature approached the upper 40s.
