Notes
Just in time for the weekend, here is your recipe for Night Swim Porter:
Pilsner Malt - 70.9%
Marris Otter -14.7%
Carafa - 9.2%
Flaked Oats - 3.3%
Medium Crystal - 1.8%
Mash pH - 5.3 - should have checked this
.01oz/gal of hops @ 60min
.2oz/gal cocoa nibs @15min
.06oz/gal of hops @ 5min
We ferment with Chico ale yeast.
Didn't have columbus, changing to nugget hops - upping from 14g 60 and 28g 5
to 28 60 and 42 5
Not loving the Mt hood hops here, try cascade a little lower amt for dry hops, maybe a little less overall next time.
3rd time I think I used what it says (chinook and perle) came out really good. No dry hops.
Note that CTZ is apparently like columbus so could be a good sub as well.
Also note I used plain 2 row vs. pilsner. Seems fine.
