Notes
Pre brew notes:
Looking to build upon the Second Chance IPA. Specifically, I want to have more body and higher OG, so I am planning on a batch mash: the oats, oat malt, wheat, and golden malt will be started with a beta glucan rest at 42C to convert starches without getting the "gloop" that Last Chance and earlier IPAs were plagued with. The 67C main batch seemed to work well last time and produced a fairly dry (1010 FG) beer. I came well short of target OG last time, and hopefully I can have a higher efficiency (65% is target, but I expect I'll fall short) and can begin to adjust malt bill in future recipes to dial ABV down into mid 6s.
