WATER is Port Dover, Ontario, Canada municipal water drawn from Long Point Bay in Lake Erie.
GRAIN BILL; simply emptied all the bags. Nothing special about the weights. The quantity in the bags looked close enough to weigh and dump in the mash.
HOPS no option for flowers - only reasonable option is "leaf/whole". Hops are not leaves. There needs to be an option for "flowers/processed". I grew the hops, dried, then pulverized in a food processor, then vacuum sealed.
YEAST
1 package of 3 months past due date Voss Kviek yeast used in the starter - grown 5 days prior to brew day. It started pronto! Starter was 1lb light DME prepared to yield 1.045 SG. Starter slowly warmed to 80 F (same temp as wort) then liquid poured off. 1.5 L of wort added to the yeast/sludge and agitated until all sludge suspended. This was divided equally amongst 3 fermentors. Should work LOL! I don't have a stir plate.
ORIGINAL GRAVITY; 1.046 @ 80F.
FINISHED GRAVITY; 1.007 @ 80F.
