It's a dopplebock taste with a sorta stouty roasted dark chocolate aftertaste. It wouldn't win a competition as it's not exactly the style, but it's a delicious sweet bready bock taste with dark chocolate and a warming berrylike alcoholic note that peaks around. I didn't get the 10% ABV planned because of boil off issues with 9 gallons of high gravity wort, but it came out pretty well. Ended up with a gallon of yeast afterwards too. This was my 4th beer in my "Lager Train" in which I used the same yeast from 2 packets of 34/70. Might upgrade my star rating after it ages on tap.
