Again, used too much water and completely filled the 6.5 gallon fermenter. OG only came to 1.042. About 10 total gallons would have been perfect for this batch, I used about 10.75-11.
Actual Results:
Total water: 11 gallons - would lessen to 9.3 - 9.5
Pre-boil volume: 8 gallons - would lesson to 7.75
Ending kettle volume: 6.5 gallons - good target
Boil time: 90 min
Efficiency: 73%
OG: 1.042
FG: 1.007
ABV: 4.6%
Attenuation: 83%
IBU's: 13
SRM: 3.5
This recipe has been updated based on previous results.
1/18 - UPDATE: Racked into keg from primary after 3 weeks. Ended up with ABV of 4.6%
1/21 - UPDATE - poured my first beer. Different, light, wheat. I would try this one again and try to hit the numbers better.
