Notes

Pitched this on a US05 yeast cake. Hit 70% brewhouse efficiency, but left 1/2 gallon in the mash tun. 1.7 qts/lb is probably too much for the new 10g mash tun, so will try 1.5qts/lb from here on out. Also missed mash temp by 4F and had to heat up some runnings from the mash to bring it up to 152F. Next time try a higher strike water temp or preheat the mash tun.

Kegged on 6/8: Final gravity 1.018. A little on the astringent side, but already after just 2 days in the keg it is fading. Color is a little more brown than I would expect, probably due to the pale chocolate. At the risk of even more astringency, I might add another 1-2 ounces of roasted barley to the next batch.
