4/5/24 Tweaks (Fail)
Original grain bill and may mix in some oats
New Hop Combo: 1:1:1 Citra, Centennial or Amarillo, Trident
Yeast: Cellar Science Hazy did not take off and then pitched Nectar. Smelled and tasted off so I dumped it.
2/13/24 Tweaks Hops were a big Miss!
Back to grist bill using 2-row and replacing oats with Wheat malt
Increase grist ratio starting with 6.25 gallons
Bittering Hop stick with Magnum
No WP hops only kettle hops
New Hop Combo 1:1:1 Citra, Mosic, & Galaxy
Tweak Water profile
*Reduce Post-boil PH to 4.8ish
Recipe 4: Using 1318 yeast and replacing the Columbus with Magnum. May tweak the water profile as well.
Recipe 3: Came out well, but not as good as version 1. I suspect yeast. Starting to believe the Flaked oats make it oxidize quicker too.
Recipe 2: added maris otter grain 6.4lbs to 7lbs 2-row
Changed yeast to A24 Dry Hop
Everything else stays the same.
Failed DO NOT DO A BETA GLUCAN REST when using FLAKED OATS
Version 1: The results were fantastic!
Version 2: Failed Tried a beta-glucan rest and scorched the elements badly
Version 3: Golden Promise instead of Maris Otter and A24 yeast
