This turned out so smooth and creamy, but with a very toasty stout character. Delicious!

I'm also about to brew an Oatmeal Stout and your rector really caught my eye. The grain and hop bills look great, but what really stood out was the toasted marshmallows! Did you really add 2lb into the copper at flame out? What does that do/add? I guess it adds sweetness and body? I've never heard an idea like this before and would definitely consider trying it myself! Anyway, I really wanted to ask, how long did you leave the beer in the primary, then how long in the keg or bottle to condition/mature? Thanks very much!

@Neil Livingston I toasted/burned the marshmallows using a butane torch and added them at flameout. I think it does add some body, and some vanilla flavor. I read a lot about how adding marshmallows themselves is not the most effective way of getting the marshmallow flavor, but honestly I wanted the novelty of dumping marshmallows in my beer lol. I also think the gelatin in the marshmallows may have helped with fining a bit. Primary was ~3wks, I usually just set it and forget it for about a month or so after brewing. Bottle conditioned for a week and then refrigerated for a few days prior to serving.
