3 of 5

Made for Octoberfest party 2022. Intended to add rice hulls, but they were not available. Did not seem to be necessary. Overfilled fermentation keg, and a significant amount of yeast wound up in the blow off jar, but the remainder completed the fermentation without an infection taking hold. Alongside the expected banana flavor, beer has an interesting mesquite smoke element that seems likely a result of the stressed yeast. Interesting, and I enjoy it, but not the intended result and certainly not for everyone.

Revisited for Octoberfest party 2023. Imperial G01 was not available, so I substituted B44. Fermented without issue this time. Really nice beer, would up rating to 4/5.
