I live in Kalamazoo and have emailed extensively with the city about our water. Long story short, it is extremely variable and any numbers they can provide are averages with a large standard deviation. So I wouldn't necessarily treat those numbers from Bell's as gospel truth. I use RO water and build my water profiles, but plenty of folks around here make great beer with carbon filtered water. It just depends on how obsessive you are.



If you are looking for a profile to use, I'd go with the one that Bell's provided the Brulosophy guys for their Two Hearted experiment. I'm sure it's pretty close to the Hopslam profile.
