LIVEMISSION NEW TRIAL

Split campden tablet strike/sparge water

Used thin screen in malt pipe

Strike water 161 degrees, mashed at 150 for 60 min

Reduced all hop additions from previous brew. 166 IBU to 95

Followed hop additions, last 10 min, added chiller, nutrient mix, whirlfloc, 1 oz sweet orange peel and 3/4# lactose sugar. (turned pump off prior to adding lactose)

Preboil SG 1.052

Sparged 170 till 7.3 gallons runoff.

Boiled 60 min.

Post boil SG 1.057

Chilled to 85 degrees

Manually oxygenated and pump wort through metal strainer. 6 gallons in fermenter.

Pitched Loki first generation

Fastmenter and set temp control to 80 degrees.

OG 1.060 with hydrometer

Will dryhop 1oz of Citra and 0.5 oz sweet orange peel at 80% fermentation. (SG 1.021)
