Target Water Profile
Light colored and hoppy
Notes
Malt: Simple grain bill consisting of American 2 row as the base malt to add diastatic power and Caramel 90 to add color and a little sweetness. The combination of the two grains is a good background to let the hops shine in this double IPA.
Hops: Magnum is used as the bittering hop along with a little bittering from the 30 minute centennial hops. Mosaic hops are used as the aroma hops to give the fruity, tropical characteristics.
Yeast: Wyeast 1332 produces a malty and mildly fruity ale with good depth and complexity.
Water Profile: Water profile based on a light colored and hoppy beer.
